Mike Shinoda turns his iPod on “Random” and gives ARTISTdirect.com an exclusive look at what he’s spinning…

A Taste:

Metric, The Prodigy, Pete Rock & CL Smooth

Working on the score for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Mike Shinoda and the boys of Linkin Park have crossed another “New Divide.” The hard rock juggernaut remains are more indestructible than Optimus Prime, and their brand new single and epic film orchestration prove that.

However, vocalist Mike Shinoda’s personal musical palette runs the gamut. He decided to share his playlist with ARTISTdirect.com for this exclusive feature. Check it out below and don’t miss Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen this Wednesday.

The ProdigyThe Prodigy mainman Keith Flint offers his playlist up to us in this exclusive feature…

A Taste:

The Buggles, Bonnie Tyler, Cliff Richards

“That’s easier said then done, because I know I’m going to give you some of them and later I’ll think, SHIT! What did I pick that for? Fucking rubbish,” mutters Keith Flint, vocalist of The Prodigy as he struggles to come up with a list of artists currently spinning through his player.

His absent-mindedness is excusable though as the artist has been on a whirlwind of press dates and live events since the release of Invaders Must Die, the first album from The Prodigy that reunites Flint with chief songwriter Liam Howlett and MC/vocalist Maxim for the first time in over a decade. Surging with more sonic wattage than a satellite radio station on overload, Invaders Must Die is as wildly energetic and diverse as anything in the band’s storied career.

“This is hardest thing in the world for me right now,” Flint laughs before rattling off some longtime personal favorites from both the worlds of music and literature. The anguish in his voice becoming more and more apparent by the second before he finally ekes out his list.

Keith Flint’s Playlist:

1. The Buggles
