Rumer Willis, Briana Evigan & Leah Pipes of “Sorority Row”

Posted by Playlisted on Sep 6, 2009 in movie celebrities

Rumer Willis, Briana Evigan & Leah Pipes share their playlists with ARTISTdirect.com editor Rick Florino in this exclusive Sorority Row feature…

A Taste:

Kings of Leon, Shwayze, Radiohead, The Beatles

Extracurricular activities are a staple of the college experience.

Intramural volleyball, community service, debate team and, of course sorority and fraternity life, remain integral to a “well-rounded” education—as any college counselor will tell you.

However, in Sorority Row, Rumer Willis, Leah Pipes, Briana Evigan and Jamie Chung redefine “extracurricular,” by adding “murder” to that list.

After a raucous house party, they accidentally kill their friend Megan [Audrina Patridge] in a prank gone awry.

That most likely wasn’t in their college’s brochure, but Greek life is all about starting new traditions…

In this smokin’ hot slasher flick, the girls try to cover up what happened but someone knows and is hell-bent on making them pay. High-octane horror ensues…

The actresses coped with all of that gore through cranking their favorite bands on set. Briana Evigan, Rumer Willis, shared their blood-splattered playlists for this exclusive feature.

Check out their playlists below and in the video and don’t miss Sorority Row when it hits theaters on September 11!

1. Shwayze

Jon Cryer of Shorts gives us a look at what he’s cranking on his iPod in this exclusive ARTISTdirect.com feature…

A Taste:

Radiohead, Weezer

“I loved playing Dad Thompson because I didn’t even have a first name [Laughs]. That’s the way it should be,” laughs Jon Cryer about his part in Shorts. “It’s great to make a kid’s movie because you just have fun shooting it. You don’t have to take yourself seriously, and as an actor you can just be silly.”

Cryer definitely got into the paternal role because it was so much fun. However, the film’s intriguing narrative structure pulled him in even deeper. He continues, “It’s like the same structure as Pulp Fiction, but it’s a kid movie. I remember thinking, ‘I don’t think anyone is going to get shot in the face!’”

Luckily no one does! Cryer shared his playlist with ARTISTdirect.com in this exclusive feature. Check it out in the video below and catch him in Shorts this Friday!

A Taste:

Radiohead, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson

Coming from the dance world, Turner’s got a very rhythmic acting style. So we sat down with her and talked about some of her favorite music. In this feature, Bree gave us a tour of her playlist.

Check it out below and catch Bree in The Ugly Truth in theaters now!

Bree Turner’s Playlist:

1. Radiohead

I was so into being “indie” about music when I was younger. I would always reject the mainstream [Laughs]. In the mid 90s, Radiohead was it for me. I saw them in a coffee shop in San Francisco in front of 100 people right before The Bends came out. This is what I was doing with my time then—searching out the coolest musical shit. Now, I find myself really wanting to listen to Kelly Clarkson and Pink [Laughs]. I’m not even afraid to admit it. I love pop now. It’s so happy and fun.

Heather GrahamThe Hangover’s Heather Graham offers a little musical insight in this exclusive playlist feature

A Taste:

Radiohead, Cesaria Evora, Kings of Convenience

“I have a very wide-ranging taste in music,” says Heather Graham with a smile. “Sometimes you see a movie that you worked on that could’ve been good, but it’s got the worst music and you’re cringing the whole time. The Hangover has really great music!”

Heather’s musical palette runs the gamut from alt rock to world folk, showing just how eclectic and vibrant her personality is. With that luminous spark, Heather’s got the ability to take over some truly interesting characters. In The Hangover, she plays Jade who as she puts it is “a stripper-mom-escort.”

‘Nuff said—the girl’s got diversity down to science!

Heather shared her playlist with us in this exclusive feature. Check it out below, and don’t miss The Hangover on June 5th!

Heather Graham’s Playlist:

1. Radiohead
