Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N’ Roses, Paramore

Jimmy Bennett and Jolie Vanier had a blast making Shorts.

“The entire filming process was so much fun, especially when I was shoving Jimmy in a trash can,” laughs Vanier with a big smile.

For Vanier, fun wasn’t simply relegated to shoving her co-star in the garbage though. She got to play slightly evil as Helvetica Black, and she had the chance to participate in some of the movie’s most imaginative action sequences—including a high speed bicycle chase.

What more could a kid ask for?

Luckily, Jimmy didn’t spend too much time in a trashcan for the film. He had his fair share of adventures as well—wielding a wishing rock that makes all of his character’s wildest dreams come true and squaring off against a bevy of mythical creatures including The Booger Monster.

“Every boy in the entire United States is going to love the Booger Monster,” he exclaims confidently. There’s no doubt about that. It’s a pretty awesome monster.

I like to listen to Ozzy Osbourne. Personally, I like No More Tears. That has to be my all-time, number one favorite album. I love “Mr. Tinkertrain.” I just did an independent movie with Zakk Wylde called Bones!

2. Black Sabbath

3. Guns N’ Roses

I like Black Sabbath, Guns N’ Roses and stuff like that but I don’t like to listen to all the songs that are overplayed, I like to go back into all of the old stuff that not every kid listens to. When we had to do the crazy ending scene, I tried to pump myself up with some cool music like that.

Jolie Vanier’s Playlist:

1. Paramore

I like Paramore. I think they’re a really cool band. I definitely have one favorite song— “Decode.”

Everyone wants to ask Grammy nominee Katy Perry if she really kissed a girl and if she really liked it. We decided to go beyond that trite, obvious question and ask the uber-bubbly, stylish star, who claims to enjoy “a sense of humor” in her colorful, fruit-festooned clothing ensembles, what she’s listening to right now. After firing off what’s she’s rocking right now, she asked, “It’s eclectic, right?”
