Erika Jayne keeps it pretty “O.G.”

Though her new album, Pretty Mess, is pure pop ecstasy on tape, she likes to get down and dirty when it comes to her hip hop.

“I listen to a lot of old hip hop,” she laughs with a smile. “I do listen to everything, but right now it’s a lot of old school rap.”

I’m a huge Madonna, Prince and Michael Jackson fan. Those three do it. They’re all tremendous performers in their own right. Their ability to connect and put on a show is great.

8. Beyonce

I saw Beyonce the other night, and she was amazing! I love her band and the costumes. Her show is two hours, and she was wearing me out [Laughs]. My live show is certainly not two hours, and I’m not floating from the ceiling like Beyonce does—though I would like to.
