“My playlist is real R&B,” chuckles Bobby Valentino with a smirk. He’s sitting in his record label’s office scrolling through his iPhone. Completely enjoying the moment, the cheery crooner laughs again, “I’ve got myself on my playlist of course. I love listening to my own music. I think I’m the hottest and the greatest, but who shouldn’t?”

Once Bobby’s latest album, The Rebirth, drops on February 10th, there’s no doubt many fans will be agreeing with him. Bobby V’s playlist isn’t all R&B though. There are a few quality surprises in there! In this exclusive feature, Bobby opened up his iPhone and gave us a look inside.

“I’ve got to listen to ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ to get that I-can-do-it feeling. I cut that on when I’m feeling low. I did a song called ‘Sexy Girl,’ and it’s similar to that as far as the guitar riff. In my songs, I like a lot of live instrumentation and a lot of good music behind the vocals.”
