Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia shares his playlist with ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino in this exclusive feature…

A Taste:

Sade, Willie Hutch, Linkin Park

Three 6 Mafia are always ready to attack.

However, lately they’ve been gearing up for the latest assault on hip hop—Laws of Power, set to hit stores this March. In the midst of that though, they cranked out a sick guest appearance on “Demons” with Tech N9ne that’s definitely some of the darkest fire they’ve dropped. Three 6 Mafia’s forthcoming album promises to be just as fiery as Last 2 Walk but with even more genre-mashing—stirring in a little more rock n’ roll and electro this time around. It’s no surprise that Juicy J’s musical taste runs a wide gamut.

His iPod is all over the map, and he sat down with ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino to discuss what’s rockin’ his world right now in this exclusive feature.

Check out Juicy J’s playlist below and be on the look out for Three 6 Mafia’s next rap epic….

Juicy J’s Playlist:

3. Linkin Park

Robert Duvall of Crazy Heart

Posted by Playlisted on Dec 17, 2009 in movie celebrities

Crazy Heart star Robert Duvall shares some country favorites with ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino in this exclusive interview

A Taste:

Merle Haggard, Hank Williams

Robert Duvall knows what truly makes a person “country.”

“It’s something in the blood,” the legendary actor says with a smile. “It usually comes from the rural areas, although people in the city can do it. Hank Snow was one of the great country singers, and he’s from Nova Scotia [Laughs].”

It doesn’t really matter where you’re from, but rather what you’ve got inside you. That’s the message of Crazy Heart. In the film, Jeff Bridges plays Bad Blake a country performer reaching the end of his career’s road. From battling alcoholism to finding love, the film examines Bad’s redemption in a poignant and powerful fashion—Duvall plays Bad’s bartendin’ best buddy like only he can.
