The Beatles, Joss Stone, Sheryl Crow

In Angels & Demons, Ayelet Zurer’s super savvy scientist Vittoria Vetra divides her time between conducting nuclear fission in her lab and chasing murderous Illuminati through church catacombs alongside Tom Hanks‘ Professor Robert Langdon.

However, in real life, Ayelet just wants to kick back and crank some tunes. She laughs, “I always like to go back in time with music. I love so many artists from the ’60s and ’70s. It’s a bit strange because I didn’t grow up on that music but it still resonates with me, especially bands like Jefferson Airplane. I also love listening to the early Beatles CDs—the real rock n’ roll stuff!”

Sometimes Ayelet’s iPod even helps her get ready for a role. She continues, “I’ve definitely used music to get into character before. While we were doing Adam Resurrected, [Director] Paul Schrader gave me his iPod, and that was the form of communication between us. On Angels & Demons, everyone was highly verbal though [Laughs].”

That doesn’t mean that Ayelet wasn’t drifting off to her favorite tunes while in Rome for Angels & Demons. In fact, she shared her playlist with us in this exclusive feature.
